Cardboard Cop To Deter Thieves

The Chronicle Live website reports that a Sunderland policeman became the unofficial face of Morrison’s after a cardboard version of himself was used in stores across the UK in a bid to deter shoplifters.

PC Neil Parkin became a familiar face to many after agreeing to get his photo taken ten years ago by a student.

Little did he know that his face would then appear on life-sized cardboard cut-outs which have been placed in every branch of Morrison’s supermarket store across the UK.
