Cashier Stole £12k From Employer

The Macclesfield Express reports that a petrol station cashier stole almost £12,000 from his employer, Spring Petroleum Ltd.

Terence Joseph Oakes tampered with a fuel card payment system to pocket the cash whilst working at Monks Heath services at Nether Alderley – offending over a four month period and stealing an amount totalling £11,851.

Oakes was also accused of destroying the CCTV system which covers the till area, rendering the hard drive beyond repair, but his manager was able to access old images which showed the fraudulent transactions taking place.
