Company Almost Folded After Fraud

The BBC News website reports that a Londonderry company nearly collapsed after a former office manager spent £590,000 on online gambling, using corporate credit cards.

On one occasion, Tracey Curran gambled – and lost – £399,000 in winnings in just two days, a court was told.

Curran had been employee of S3 Alliance since 2008, was in charge of the company’s administration and had access to its credit card accounts.

She spent nearly £600,000 on the online gambling site 32 Red.
