Doctor Stole £67k – Keeps Job

According to the Mail+ website, a kidney specialist has been found fit to continue to practice medicine despite being convicted of stealing over £67,000 from the NHS.

Aled Jones was arrested for forging cheques and making bogus claims for unworked shifts, and received a suspended two-year jail sentence in March 2021.

The General Medical Council recommended he should not be allowed to return to work, but a tribunal ruled in Jones’ favour after hearing of his fight to beat his gambling addiction.
