Employee Stole £2m Of Car Parts

According to the Leamington Observer, a ‘staggeringly dishonest’ Jaguar Land Rover employee stole car parts worth up to £2 million.

Simon Wensley – currently serving a five-year jail term – used his own automotive business as a cover to sell the stolen parts and has now been ordered to pay more than £260,000 in compensation under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The theft of almost 4,500 parts were ordered by Wensley for vehicles which were no longer being produced, but which could be sold on to owners of such vehicles.
