Fraudster Exploited Gift Card Flaw

The Manchester Evening News reports that a John Lewis boss exploited a flaw in the retail chain’s gift card system to steal thousands pounds worth of stock.

A court heard that Michael Stace helped himself to household items worth £6,675 after he created gift cards under false names.

He then voided transactions at his till to appear as if refunds for them had been given to customers.
