‘Influencer’ Sold Fake Goods Online

The City Of London Police  website reports that a social media influencer promoted and sold counterfeit designer clothing and mobile phones to his 20,000 followers.

Jack Allen – given a 16-week suspended prison sentence – made over £14,300 after promoting the items on various Instagram accounts and YouTube.

A review of Allen’s online activities linked him to a channel named ‘The Masked Gang Man’, where he shared videos of himself reviewing counterfeit items while wearing a face mask and sunglasses to conceal his identity.
