Jail For PPE Thief

The Wirral Globe website reports that a man stole £30,000-worth of PPE from his employers and sold it on eBay – at a time when desperate medics were appealing for such equipment.

Gary Edwards’ thefts spanned two-and-a-half years, continuing during the Covid-19 pandemic, and he sold items at grossly inflated prices online.

Edwards admitted spending his ill-gotten profits on luxuries including a week- long VIP darts tournament package for himself and his partner and  decorating their home.
