Jail For Shoplifter With 170 Offences
Sunday, 12th May 2019 at 4:33pmThe Leader website reports that a prolific shoplifter from Wrexham has been jailed after stealing whilst serving a suspended sentence.
Claire Louise Jones had previous convictions for 169 offences, committing crimes over the years to feed her drug addiction.
On this 170th occasion, Jones stole clothing from Primark and then meat on two occasions from a branch of the Co-op in Wrexham to a value of £180.
A court heard that Jones had recently been stealing to live, because changes in the benefits system meant she did not have any money.
