Local Shop Sold Stolen Chocolate

As reported on the Cambridge Live website, a convenience store in Peterborough could lose its trading licence as police suspect they may have sold stolen goods.

A shoplifter was seen entering UK Plus EU with a bag thought to hold chocolate stolen from a nearby Poundland, which was then found in the shop’s store room.

A police spokesperson said that the actions taken by the shoplifter immediately after the initial theft – cycling directly to the premises – would suggest that this is a known premises for handling stolen goods.
