‘Menace To Society’ Jailed
Wednesday, 31st July 2019 at 4:53pmThe Gloucestershire Live website reports that a prolific shoplifter, described by a judge as a ‘menace to society’, has been jailed for over two years for a spate of thefts which netted over £3,500.
Helen Edwards targeted Marks & Spencer, Boots, Matalan and Debenhams and was eventually caught by police attempting to drive off in a VW Golf while disqualified.
A judge did not accept her defence that she had intended to be caught on this latest spree.
