The Mail website reports that an assistant manager at a branch of Howdens stole more than £7,000 from her employer to fund her gambling habit.

Victoria Roberston stole various sums of money – £3,500 being the largest – over a period of around 18 months.

The News & Star website reports that a shoplifter who stole Jack Daniels whiskey from Carlisle supermarkets twice in three days told police he did not normally steal – despite having 22 thefts on his record.

The Mail Online website reports that a Thameslink ticket officer hacked the company’s computer system to swindle £277,000.

Mohammed Rahman is said to have used a sophisticated code that ‘tricked’ the computer into thinking it had produced tickets when, in fact, it had not.

NHS Worker Sold Stolen iPads On Ebay

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Shamsul Gani stole electronic devices worth over £14.5k from his ex-employer DePuy over a five-year period.

Now working in the NHS, Gani stole the devices because he was upset after claiming promises made about pay and a bonus were not kept.

As reported on the Lynn News website, a leading fraud expert is warning students against sharing pictures of their certificates online.

Fraudsters can find these images and then use the information on them to create fake certificates that can be bought for as little as £7.
