Police Officer Stole Seized Cash

The Dorset Echo website reports that a police evidence officer stole over £14,000 from the force over a four-year period, using the cash to fuel a shopping addicition.

Lisa Arnold was responsible for logging exhibits of seized items, often involving uncounted cash in clear plastic envelopes.

A court heard that Arnold would look for these uncounted exhibits of cash, open the envelope from the bottom, remove a quantity of notes and would then reseal the envelope with Sellotape.
