Rapist And Friend’s Turkey Thieving Spree
Saturday, 15th August 2020 at 2:53pmThe Belfast Telegraph‘s website reports that two friends who went on a pre-Christmas shoplifting spree have been given jail sentences totalling 27 months.
Joseph McCabe and Brian Paul Ward were jointly accused of four counts of theft relating to £231 of Christmas decorations from The Range, four turkeys from Iceland, and a lamb from Tesco.
A court heard how these and three further offences were “planned, repeated and brazen” operations, where, in the majority of the incidents, they walked into stores, filled up a trolley and simply walked out having spent less than a minute on the premises.
