Self-Checkout Thefts Increase

According to Mail Online, more than a third of Brits openly admit to using self-service checkouts to steal from shops.

Criminology experts say self-service machines have created a ‘new breed of shoplifter’ who are stealing at times they otherwise wouldn’t.

A poll of 1,000 shoppers found that 37 percent of customers deliberately failed to scan an item, with men and the under-35s most likely to do so.
