Shoplifter Caught On Google Street View
Saturday, 8th October 2016 at 3:45pmThe Telegraph reports that a shoplifter has been prosecuted for stealing £60 of washing-up goods – after she was caught fleeing a store on Google Street View.
Tammy McIvor was caught in the act when an IT worker stumbled across images online of the 30-year-old making her escape with shoplifted items from a branch of Savers, the discount chain, in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire.
Whilst her face had been blurred out by Google, Cleveland Police identified McIvor from her distinctive white outfit, which she was wearing when she was arrested.
