Stealing In South East Is ‘More Brazen’
Thursday, 20th February 2025 at 1:03pmAccording to the BBC News website, businesses across the South East say shoplifting has become “much more brazen”, with staff being shouted at and abused.
One Canterbury shop owner, Laurissa Woolgar, said thieves in her store, “just don’t seem to care at all”.
She added, “It’s almost a game for some people. There’s teenagers on a Saturday who simply come in, pick up jewellery and leave.”
