Sussex Police Fit Tags To Thieves
Thursday, 16th October 2025 at 1:39pmThe Sussex Police website reports that they are the the first force in the country to fit prolific shoplifters with location monitoring tags.
Repeat shoplifting offenders will be issued with Buddi tags – discreet GPS ankle devices – as part of a CBO or with agreement from probation services.
Victoria Hale and Barry Farthing have had tags fitted, as a response to their combined retail thefts numbering around 100.
