Thief Caught By Secret Camera

According to the Eastern Daily Press website, a Great Yarmouth hotel owner installed a secret camera to apprehend an employee who had been stealing cash from the business.

David Tumber – a chef at The Star hotel – was filmed stealing from the float and tips jar over a four-day period in July 2019.

In an interview, Tumber said he was allowed access and that it was usual to take money from the float for groceries and that everyone helped themselves from the tips jar.
