Thief Filmed During ITV News

According to the Metro website, ITV News was interviewing a shop owner in south London about the UK’s shoplifting ‘epidemic’ when a thief was caught trying to steal booze on camera.

The shoplifter walked straight into the shop and made straight for the alcohol section, hiding a bottle in his pocket.

A staff member spotted him on the shop’ s CCTV and alerted the owner during his interview, leading to him challenging the man as he tried to leave the shop.
