Thief Stole £1m For Fictitious Boyfriend
Tuesday, 18th July 2023 at 2:34pmThe Liverpool Echo website reports that an employee at a solicitors’ firm stole nearly £1million to give to a man who didn’t exist.
Manjit Singh – jailed for two years – transferred huge sums of money into the bank account of a supposed lover she had met on a dating website.
However, Singh was a victim of a so-called ‘romance fraud’, the boyfriend was entirely fictitious and – to date – has not been traced by police.
