Thief’s Luxury Lifestyle ‘Helped Depression’
Friday, 13th November 2020 at 11:38amAccording to the Manchester Evening News website, a woman who stole almost £1million from her employer told police that her life of luxury – funded by stolen cash – had helped make her ‘feel better’.
Amanda Rees, an admin manager at a manufacturing firm, siphoned off money totalling £980,673 into her personal bank account.
Rees – jailed for five-and-a-half years – spent the money on her wedding, cars, holidays and even a hot tub.
