Travel Agent Stole From Employer

The Ipswich Star carries the story of a travel shop worker who stole money from her employer to pay the rent on the house she shared.

A court heard that the Co-op estimates Lucy Read – a travel consultant for the company – stole around £2,000.

Bosses became concerned about the accounts when Read was on duty and installed a covert camera which captured her carrying out a theft of money in November, involving the purchase of Euros.

When confronted, she admitted she had stolen money over a period of about six months.
