The Worksop Guardian website reports that a council’s finance officer stole more than £60,000 to help pay off her accumulated credit card debts.
Over a 12-month period, Kerry Wheatley diverted refunds of business rates, due to be paid to a number of businesses, into a single bank account.

Iain Gardyne stole more than 200 separate items over a four-year period, which had an estimated value of between £5,000 and £10,000.
