According to Mail Online, increasingly hard-up Brits are stealing milk as supermarkets put security tags on butter amidst the current cost-of-living crisis.

With shoplifting increasing by 18%, recently Tesco shoppers reported that security tags had been fixed to milk and Aldi put tags on blocks of cheddar.

The Belfast Telegraph website reports that an employee who admitted stealing from her employer via email has been spared jail.

Laura McKeown wrote a resignation email in which she said been unwell and that one of the reasons she was resigning was that she had taken money from the company.

Man City Worker Stole £100k

According to the Manchester Evening News website, a Business Development executive who worked for Manchester City stole more than £100,000 from the club.

Fiona Barclay worked for City within the football club’s hospitality department, earning up to £30,000 a year but used the stolen money to pay for her wedding.

The Mail website reports that a woman with a gambling problem stole more than £88,000 from her employer’s business and private accounts after they started a personal relationship.

Susan Adams stole a total of £88,719.86 from Robert Scott whilst looking after his accounts, which he, “did not pay much attention to”.
