According to the Bristol Post website, after a long-running legal battle, a man who faked a degree to land top positions within the NHS has been ordered to pay back nearly £100k in fraudulently obtained earnings.

John Andrewes pretended he had a PhD and made everyone call him ‘doctor’ as he took up senior roles in NHS trusts around the West Country.

The Hull Daily Mail website reports that 80 workers at a Hull plastics company all lost their jobs after a finance manager falsified accounts.

Ian Fisher grossly overstated the level of work that was in progress but understated the huge debts that the company faced – meaning that a completely misleading position was shown.

The Leeds Live website reports that shopkeepers in a Leeds estate have grown despondent with the increasingly “awkward” task of spotting local residents who steal from them.

One shopkeeper said teens work in groups to shoplift, and have formulated sophisticated methods of confusing staff to steal fizzy drinks and sweets.

The Lancashire Telegraph website reports that a man who raked in thousands of pounds selling counterfeit car badges has been ordered to repay more than £500,000.

Following a complaint from Jaguar Land Rover, Matthew Paul Shlusar was found to have made illegal earnings from online sales of £554,913.

Worker Stole Pokeman Cards

The Daily Star website reports that a warehouse worker stole Pokemon cards valued at £60,000 from his employer, and stowed them in his mum’s house.

Kyriacos Christou took the cards when he picked up orders for an online business, which sells the Japanese trading cards for hundreds of pounds.
