Jail For Santander Manager

The Sun reports that a Santander customer services manager has been jailed after stealing more than £200,000 from customer accounts.

Mohamed Hussain was provided with compromised account details by an accomplice, Sebastio Sala, and went on to transfer £217,133.17 over a 14-month period.

Thief Lied About Mum’s Terminal Cancer

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post website, a thief stole over £7,000 in three months from a small Leeds firm and lied to his bosses about his mum dying from cancer.

Thomas Moule was seen 24 times on CCTV footage taking money that should have gone into the till, losing the company a total of £7,093.

Pharmacist Stole Over £8k

According to the Chemist & Druggist website, a Halifax pharmacist with a 38-year career has been removed from the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) register for stealing more than £8,000 over a three-year period.

Mr Marsland first stole from the Luddendenfoot Pharmacy in Halifax on April 30, 2016, and continued to do so for more than three years, until October 12, 2019.

Doctor Stole £67k – Keeps Job

According to the Mail+ website, a kidney specialist has been found fit to continue to practice medicine despite being convicted of stealing over £67,000 from the NHS.

Aled Jones was arrested for forging cheques and making bogus claims for unworked shifts, and received a suspended two-year jail sentence in March 2021.
