Thief Banned From All Shops In England

As reported on Mail Online, a shoplifter has been banned from every store in England – apart from one Tesco Metro – after she stole goods from a Boots store just minutes after being bailed for a previous offence.

Anna Burns left court, walked 750 yards to a Boots shop, and stole £60-worth of make-up.

Support Worker Banned For CV Lies

The Press & Journal website reports that a would-be support worker has been banned after her web of lies was uncovered to try and land a job working with children.

Lisa McDonald attempted to secure a job with national charity Action for Children with a fake reference, a forged signature and manufactured qualification certificates.

Post Office Manager Stole £10,000

The Metro website reports that a post office manager stole thousands from customers to bankroll her £200-a-day cocaine habit.

Victoria Rogers used the Post Office’s computer systems to reverse bill payments and divert the money to herself, pocketing a total amount of around £10,000.

‘Operation Hamper’ Halved Shoplifting

As reported on the Spire FM website, a police initiative called Operation Hamper saw incidents of shoplifting in Salisbury halve over the 2019 festive period.

Officers became more being visible throughout the day around the city and made better use of the ShopWatch and PubWatch radio systems, linking the city CCTV and police to shops and licensed premises.

Thief Stole James Bond Books Worth £4k

The Ipswich Star reports that a warehouse worker stole five rare James Bond books worth £3,750 – allegedly to pay for medical treatment for his dog.

Konrad Bulawa stole limited editions of Casino Royale, by Ian Fleming, whilst he was working for Ceva Logistics.

Thief Stole Harry Potter Merch To Order

The BBC News website reports that a former Warner Bros Studio employee stole £36,935 worth of Harry Potter merchandise to order from the attraction in Leavesden, Herts.

Adam Hill sold the items on eBay, initially using a local post office but then used a franking machine to send them from the post room at work.
