Man Netted £80k Over Five Years

Kent Online reports that a gambling addict stole car parts from his employer and sold them on eBay during a period of nearly five years, netting over £80,000 in the process.

Robin Lambkin even organised a courier to pick up larger parts from Gefco auto body shop in Sheerness, Kent, whilst taking smaller items in his own rucksack.

Airport Worker Stole Jewellery

The Express reports that an airport worker stole £15,000 worth of jewellery from British Airways over four years, selling the booty on eBay.

Michal Harazinski – jailed for a year – was employed by Gate Gourmet, which is contracted by the airline, and was responsible for loading and unloading boxes off BA flights.

Men More Likely To Lie On CV

According to the Express, a new survey shows that men are far more likely to lie on their CV than women, with 42% claiming to have done so during their careers.

The survey revealed that 38% per cent of the women surveyed had also lied, with both sexes admitting that fear of the competition forced them to stretch the truth.

Bookie Employee Embezzled £40k

The onlinecasino.co.uk website reports that a former assistant manager of Coral embezzled thousands of pounds after discovering a glitch in the company’s computer system that allowed him to bet on matches after the final whistle had blown.

Gavin Thompson employed friends as proxy gamblers, supplying the stake and processing the transactions while they placed bogus bets at Coral branches in Dundee and Forfar.

Manager Treated NHS Like ‘Cash Machine’

The BBC News website reports that a senior NHS manager treated his local trust as his “personal cash machine”, whilst leading a gang who used £650,000 of taxpayers’ money to fund luxury refurbishments on their homes.

Royston Dyke was responsible for overseeing project managers engaged in estate works but siphoned off cash from the NHS trust’s coffers.

‘Apprentice’ Star Attacked By Shoplifter

As reported on The Star website, Frances Bishop who starred in the 2016 series of The Apprentice has called for tougher sentencing for shoplifters after being attacked in her own store.

Frances Bishop was working at the store in Waterdale Shopping Centre when she was assaulted by a man who was furtively placing two outfits into a large bag.
