Man Dismissed For CV Lies Commits Suicide

According to the Midhurst and Petworth Observer, a man took his own life with a shotgun after being sacked as Estates Manager at Cowdray Park, West Sussex.

James Deacon was found dead at his home on the morning of November 18, 2017, after being dismissed the day before, when it was discovered that he had lied on his CV when applying for his job.

Sainsbury’s Bans High School Students

According to the Eastern Daily Press, Sainsbury’s in North Walsham has banned all children wearing North Walsham High School uniform from entering its store, unless accompanied by an adult.

This drastic move follows several incidents of shoplifting at the store by pupils and has led to a Twitter backlash by angry parents.

According to Mail Online, a financial director plundered nearly £1m from her charity employer’s accounts to fund luxury holidays and VIP tickets to see Britney Spears.

Chasjit Verma, defrauded the Jubilee Hall Trust over a seven-year period while in charge of the registered charity’s finances.

BBC News reports that a charity’s accountant has been jailed for stealing more than £2.5m from his employer, Morris Cerullo World Evangelism.

Stephen Ashton falsified invoices and accounts and used the money he stole to pay for his lover’s mortgage and luxury holidays.

£125k Fraud Put 25 Jobs At Risk

The Sentinel reports that fraudster Andrew Salt ripped off his employer to the tune of £142,000 – by stealing car parts and flogging them on eBay.

Salt placed orders for non-existent customers and when the car parts were delivered, he would create a return note, but the goods were never sent back.

Crook Jailed For £1m Scam Re-employed By NHS

The Mirror reports that an NHS manager who was jailed for her part in an elaborate IT fraud was re-employed as a health service worker after using another surname.

Deborah Hancox funded a lavish lifestyle, along with her partner John Leigh, by tricking the NHS into buying goods from their own companies.
