The Kent Online website reports that a crackdown on the sale of counterfeit goods has seen fake Armani and Gucci items seized at a market in Swanley.

A team of 17 officers seized items including: adult and children’s clothing, bags, hats, sunglasses, belts and watches.

According to the Birmingham Live website, two men have been fined after they were caught selling fake designer bags and hats.

Hasib Safi and Ibrahim Akabary separately sold accessories bearing the Louis Vuitton or Dolce & Gabbana trademarks, all of which turned out to be counterfeit.

The BBC News website reports that police have seized an “astonishing” haul of fake designer goods and illegal items in pre-Christmas raids in London’s Oxford Street.

As reported on the Birmingham Live website, the man behind a multi-million pound fake clothes factory has been jailed for four years.

Officials raided Inderjit Sangu’s storage unit, seizing more than 40,000 fake labels, and ‘hundreds of thousands of pounds-worth’ of clothing items with the labels already fitted.
