According to North Wales Live, a woman swindled £9,000 by forging the signatures of colleagues on till rolls and pocketing money which was apparently refunded.

Clio Jones had worked for the hardware retailer Stermat since she was 14 years old but over 13 shirt months had “abused her position of trust” by stealing the money during cashing up sessions.

Worker ‘Stole’ 41m Loyalty Points

The Telegraph & Argus website reports that a Morrison’s employee loaded 41 million points onto two bogus loyalty card in a £42,000 fraud.

Nathan King worked in the customer services department at the supermarket giant’s Bradford HQ and used the scam to buy expensive electrical items that he sold online to pay off debts and treat his family.

Gran Stole £180k Over Ten Years

The Wales Online website reports that a grandmother who worked for a building society for two decades stole more than £180,000 from her employer.

Claire Free fraudulently used nearly 150 cheques and transactions, and was caught after a customer complained that over £9,000 had been taken from his dead father’s account.

Shoplifting ‘Glamourised’ By TV Show

As reported in The Mirror, viewers of ITV’s This Morning accused the daytime show of “glamourising” shoplifting by having a notorious shoplifter return to the interview sofa.

Kim Farry – no stranger to the CRS either – claimed that she could rake in up to £20,000 a month in goods, which has amounted to around £2million over the years.

Daniel Harrington had worked at a contract catering firm and his duties included cashing up and providing financial reports to company bosses.

The Gloucestershire Live website reports that a prolific shoplifter, described by a judge as a ‘menace to society’, has been jailed for over two years for a spate of thefts which netted over £3,500.

Helen Edwards targeted Marks & Spencer, Boots, Matalan and Debenhams in her latest thieving spree.
