The Law Society Gazette reports that a City solicitor who lied on his CV about qualifications and admittance to professional bodies has agreed to leave the profession.

Michael McCooe claimed he had qualifications from the University of Zurich and Trinity College, Dublin, but it transpired that this was a false declaration on both counts.
