According to BBC News, a former Gaelic footballer has been accused of stealing over £500,000 from his employer.

Johnny McGurk, now an accountant, was charged with stealing £572,206 from quarry owner Patrick Bradley Ltd, based in Kilrea, County Londonderry.

According to The Mirror, a drug-user went on a shoplifting spree despite having just won £250,000 with a National Lottery scratchcard.

Nicola Lord, 38, of Blackpool, was barred from every Boots store in Britain but still went into the company’s branch in Lytham, Lancashire and stole perfume worth £514.

This Is Local London reports that a teenager from Perivale has been banned from all BP service stations in England and Wales by a criminal behaviour order.

Ackem Moran, 18, pleaded guilty to stealing food and drink in May from the BP service station in Western Avenue, Perivale.

According to the Lancashire Telegraph, a 32-year-old woman was caught stealing just minutes after being sentenced for previous shoplifting offences.

Heidi Marie Wilson appeared in court after 10am for shoplifting and was then caught at 11am on the same morning stealing perfume from Debenhams.

Binman Sold Stolen Waste Bags Online

The Manchester Evening News carries a story of a binman who swiped 8,000 rolls of biodegradable bags from his employers and made more then £11,000 selling them online.

Paul Strickland was meant to hand out the bags on his rounds but instead he stole 1.5m bags and sold them on eBay at £7 a roll.
