Family’s £9k Shoplifting ‘Away Day’

The Eastern Daily Press website reports that three members of the same family stole more than £9,000 of goods from Norwich stores in a shoplifting spree.

Iona Raducanu, together with Bianca and Luisa, 18, were in Norwich on an “away day shoplifting exercise”, taking more than £3,000 of cosmetics from Boots and then almost £6,000 worth of make-up from House of Fraser.

Spoof Poster Says ‘OK To Steal From Tesco’

The MyLondon website reports that a poster has been seen at a North London bus stop displaying the message, “It’s OK to shoplift at Tesco if you’re broke. We still make profit.”

The spoof, which appears to poke fun at the supermarket giant, includes branding with the company logo and the slogan ‘Every little helps’.

Thieves Stole To Pay Off Drug Debts

The Plymouth Herald website reports that a couple stole alcohol and shavers worth almost £4,000 to order to pay off the man’s drug debts.

Chronic drug addicts Tom Sanders and Deana Thornton took champagne and spirits from large stores including Tesco, M&S and Sainsbury’s.

Thief Asked To Continue Shoplifting

According to the Chronicle Live website, a thief who was in court for stealing expensive pens asked magistrates if he could, “go out shoplifting again?”

Daniel Stewart had been caught on CCTV taking more than £1,000 worth of stationery from Fenwick in Newcastle city centre.

Thief Stole Meat & Alcohol Worth £3,000

The Chronicle Live website reports that a shoplifter used a foil-lined bag to steal almost £3,000 worth of alcohol and meat from County Durham supermarkets.

Keiron Peter Clark targeted supermarkets including Asda and Aldi over a three-month period and made off with goods without paying.

“Ben & Jerry’s” Thief’s Co-op Ban

As reported on the Worcester News website, a prolific shoplifter who stole Ben and Jerry’s ice cream has been banned from entering any Co-op store in the country.

Jacob Telford was made subject of a three-year criminal behaviour order at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Monday.
