Thief Stole 144 Chocolate Bars
As reported on the Mirror website, a shoplifter stole 144 bars of chocolate right in front of CCTV – only to return later to steal ten jars of coffee.
Jordan Thomson – jailed for 22 weeks, his second sentence this year – was recorded on security cameras stealing the sweets from a branch of Co-Op in Worthing, West Sussex.

The Metro website reports that branches of Co-op across the country have been putting empty coffee jars on shelves in a bid to stop shoplifters – after prices rocketed to more than £10.
A branch in Walthamstow, north London, took the precaution after the price of 200g of Kenco Smooth instant coffee was put up to £10.50.

Mark Proudfoot attempted to steal laundry products and food valued at £83 by pushing a trolley full of goods past the tills and out of the store, making no attempt to pay.

One has even started a “wall of shame” by putting up images of alleged offenders outside his shop, as offences increased by 29% over the past two years.
