Tesco Trials CCTV At Self Checkouts

According to The Mirror, Tesco has installed CCTV at self checkouts in a selection of stores as part of a crackdown on shoplifters.

Shoppers’ faces will now appear on screens above each checkout at the stores, with a written warning in each bagging area.

The Worcester News reported that two workers betrayed the trust of their employer by selling stolen company gear on eBay.

Following a tip-off from a supervisor, Darren Howes and Craig Wright were found to have stolen door fixings from their place of work, Permadoor in Upton.

43% Of Insider Fraud Cases Not Reported

According to the Third Sector website, the Charity Commission has found that 43% of insider fraud cases committed in the last five years were not reported.

A recent report also argued that there are certain factors which make the charity sector more susceptible to this type of crime than others.

GP Manager Stole £50k From NHS

As reported by Bristol Live, a GP surgery manager who had campaigned against NHS cuts stole more than £50,000 from the health service through unauthorised payments.

Patricia Mayo was in charge of accounts at the Hartwood Health Centre in Hartcliffe, where she worked as practice manager between 2011 and 2016.
